Man, Kickstarter just screwed up big-time.

Mantis Storage Case Kickstarter
Well, I didn't really want to have to write this but things aren't looking so great for this Kickstarter at the moment. So this was a Kickstarter that finalised during Aug 2014 and was supposed to ship out by Sep 2014. Unfortunately, it got too successful and as of now, most of the items still haven't shipped out. Sadly, delays are becoming all too common in the KS industry now and if that was all, I wouldn't be writing about this.

Kickstarter and Disgruntlement
Remember a few years back, when Kickstarter used to be the promised land? Where creators and consumers would get together in harmony and all would be right with the world, with both sides getting what they wanted? Well, just like any other vision, humanity has pretty much screwed that up.

Dust: Operation Babylon Kickstarter
Short history; Dust Studios used to be partnered with FantasyFlight Games for distribution but eventually switched to Battlefront and together they launched a kickstarter (link) last year with Battlefront taking the money as the distribution arm and paying Dust Studios for the production. However, things seems to have gone south. Updated: 3rd Feb 2015

Alien VS Predator
Wow, this has gotten into so much trouble that I'm glad I didn't back this kickstarter. Mostly because at the time it was very very expensive; we're talking about 30 British pounds for THREE Predator resin figurines. That and the fact the logo looks like the two deadliest alien species in the galaxy are dancing with each other instead of fighting.

Robotech RPG Tactics #5
Palladium are the used-car salesmen of the hobby gaming industry. They are barely one step above Defiance Games and really should not be trusted in any way with your money in advance. They are not above lying to get what they want during the Kickstarter and then purposely screwing over backers once they have received the money. Honestly, this will probably be the last I write about this game because frankly, unless the minis are goddamn amazing; and I'm talking Kingdom Death or Malifaux amazing, it's not worth this shit to put up with some two-bit GamesWorkshop thug wannabe. Also spoiler, the minis are nowhere near that amazing.

Mars Attack: The Boardgame
I've finally received my KS version and had time to play through it a few times. And I'll say this much, it's not a bad game and I think this is what Deadzone should really have been like.

Relic Knights: Black Diamond
So...finally Relic Knights arrived. It was kind of a joke back then how long this thing would be delayed for but now, Palladium and Kingdom Death are making this KS look good.

Zombicide Season3
Ah zombicide, one of the more enjoyable games I've played within the last year or so. And yet now, as a franchise, it's probably dead to me.

Panda GM
Previously I had written about Wargames Factory (link) and how they had a hand in the delays of several Kickstarters. This time I'm writing about yet another potential manufacturer/middleman that Kickstarter creators may NOT want to work with.

Robotech RPG Tactics #4
You know at some point, I'd like to stop writing about this KS and just get my models already. Otoh, this probably requires Palladium to stop fucking up somehow so that's unlikely. Hopefully, this will be my LAST update on the subject before I get my stuff.

Cool Mini or Not
It's a logo that many veteran Kickstarters are aware of. Cool Mini or Not, or abbreviated as CMON, is one of the more prolific KS creators out there. Not as prolific as Game Salute of course, but still up there, with 11 projects created. The projects range from big hits like Zombicide to flops such as Sedition Wars and so on. Much like Game Salute, they're more like middle-men that help game creators fund/produce their games. Much like Game Salute, they've also run into more than few hiccups along the way with regards to their fulfillment and service.

Game Salute
My friend gave me a link to a Kickstarter which had decided to cut down on some extra backer rewards because it lacked the money to publish them. While this by itself was sort of annoying but not huge in the grand scheme of things as far as Kickstarters go, I began digging a bit more.

Mercs: Recon
From the creators of Myth; a kickstarter that's already 3 months late and shafted International backers pretty hard by making them wait another 2 months more while the American backers got their first wave earlier since early can't apply when the KS is late, comes a boardgame about the tabletop game they did before Myth.
