Skinny Pizza

It's logo really should be Skinny Pizza: What a gyp.

So recently, I ended up eating at Skinny Pizza at Plaza Singapore. A new branch just opened up there and we decided to try it. To be brutally honest here, that may not have been the best idea I've ever had.
Okay, first things first. I ordered an english breakfast pizza. Mostly because it had bacon and egg. The pizza was served pretty fast and they even let you cut it yourself. Kinda, because they put the pizza-cutter on the table before they deliver the pizza and I insisted on cutting it myself. So anyway, first impressions of the pizza? Not great.

The crust is hot but that's pretty much the only thing. I suspect they just cook the crust, which may take a short while since it seems really thin while all the other ingredients are pre-cooked. And this is where Skinny Pizza really fails. The problem is that not only are the other parts of the pizza not hot, they're barely lukewarm. It's nothing more than a thing crust/prata you sprinkle some ingredients on top on without any attempt to harmonise the two together like you would with a real pizza.

Even the fries weren't hot and barely lukewarm, which was a real problem. It just feels that when you end up paying 20 dollars for a pretty meh dish, and then another 4 bucks more for warmish fries.

Overall Rating: 3.5/10
