Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb

I did not think this film series actually needed another film to conclude it. And I still don't even after watching this film. Warning spoilers.

The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies

I think after viewing the conclusion to The Hobbit Trilogy, I can conclusively say Peter Jackson should never have been the one to direct it. The producers chose...poorly

Rogue Legacy

Otherwise known as the !^(#!&@ platforming game that is insanely @!&)&@!* hard to beat.

Alien VS Predator

Wow, this has gotten into so much trouble that I'm glad I didn't back this kickstarter. Mostly because at the time it was very very expensive; we're talking about 30 British pounds for THREE Predator resin figurines. That and the fact the logo looks like the two deadliest alien species in the galaxy are dancing with each other instead of fighting.

The Witcher Adventure Game

I'm a huge fan of the computer games but I can't help but feel the Witcher board game plays a lot like a non-cooperative version of Arkham Horror.

Doraemon: Stand by Me

I'm a huge fan of Doraemon but this seriously did not appeal to me at all.

Sheriff of Nottingham

The Sheriff of Nottingham is a game of backstabbing, lies and deceit. So really, it fits in perfectly with my gaming group.

Horrible Bosses 2

Hopefully they're not trying to turn Horrible Bosses into the next Hangover franchise. It's funny but I doubt that I would be able to stomach 3 movies.

Warhammer Conquest

Warhammer Conquest is the spiritual successor to Warhammer: Invasion and yet another LCG in the cap of Fantasy Flight Games and to be frank, I'm surprised it took them THIS long to come out with it.

Robotech RPG Tactics #5

Palladium are the used-car salesmen of the hobby gaming industry. They are barely one step above Defiance Games and really should not be trusted in any way with your money in advance. They are not above lying to get what they want during the Kickstarter and then purposely screwing over backers once they have received the money. Honestly, this will probably be the last I write about this game because frankly, unless the minis are goddamn amazing; and I'm talking Kingdom Death or Malifaux amazing, it's not worth this shit to put up with some two-bit GamesWorkshop thug wannabe. Also spoiler, the minis are nowhere near that amazing.

Big Hero 6

Okay, Big Hero 6 is Disneys annual End of Year family movie and it doesn't disappoint. Warning, spoilers abound in the post.

Fantasy Life

A strange mix of DragonQuest, Rune Factory and Animal Crossing.

Inbox by Google

I managed to get myself an Inbox by Gmail invite just to test it out. My overal impression is that this still seems like a very beta interface and in terms of functionality, I think I would prefer the old Gmail interface.

Bradigus vs eMadrak

So...funny story. My opponent brought out a cygnar army and then promptly switched factions once he found out which caster I was playing.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut

We return to the world of Shadowrun in Dragonfall, and what a return it is.

Mars Attack: The Boardgame

I've finally received my KS version and had time to play through it a few times. And I'll say this much, it's not a bad game and I think this is what Deadzone should really have been like.

The Judge

A legal drama that focuses more on the human side of things without losing its charm. Also, seriously, why isn't this one being talked about more?

SR2015 Beta Impressions

So there was a recent open beta test for the SR 2015 scenarios plus rules at one of the local stores. This is what I took away from it.

Lomeyo and how he killed a Dragon(born)

In which Lomeyo gets roped into helping the shyster monk; Leosin, who still owes him money and gets to kill a Dragonborn, a cultist leader and some random dudes in robes.

John Wick

A vigilante action flick that doesn't quite pull off the action.

GameStart 2014

So Singapore's first video gaming convention (website), how is it? In their own words, they're inspired by other conventions such as E3, PAX and so on and is organised by gamers for gamers.

Lucant vs pSev

Okay, I would never have said this before this match-up, but 2 judicators with pSev and choir seems pretty legit. In a way.

The Blood of Olympus

There's something about this year and the ending of many young adults novel series. First Skulduggery Pleasant and now the Percy Jackson series. Unlike the first saga, which ended on an open note, this pretty much seems to be the final chapter in the series.

Hyrule Warriors

Yet another Dynasty warriors reskin, yet still surprisingly fun to play.

Iron Mother vs Stryker3

A bit of a change in the usual CoC vs Cygnar matchups. I put down Iron Mother to test her out and he put down Stryker3 thinking I would put down Lucant. So, derp on both our parts

Rurouni Kenshin: The legend ends

Went into this expecting Rurouni Kenshin the action film, got Rurouni Kenshin the melodrama film instead.

Blue Table Painting

So Blue table painting is a commission painting house that’s been around for a while. I say painting house because it’s not really run by a painter but more as a business, where the business employs several painters under him to paint for them. Needless to say, this can result in very dramatically different standards in painting.

The adventures of Lomeyo; a 5e Paladin

So about 6 weeks into the Hoard of the Dragon Queen, and I'm a level 3 paladin. Yes, that's a bit slow but hey, the sessions only last about 2 hours.

Magnus vs Malya

Second game of Relic Knights and this time it's not a mirror match. Yay. Still 35 points though

Lucant vs eHaley

eHaley, how I hate thee....When you're on the opposite side of the table...

Dracula Untold

This was a pretty campy; in a bad way, film. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't recommend watching it.

Cheating, the Community and Xwing

Cheating? How does one handle it? Recently, there was an incident in the Malaysian X-wing Nationals where one of the finalists was warned for cheating. Apparently, this wasn't the first time that particular individual was suspected or caught at cheating in X-wing games but wasn't particularly called out on it. That all changed though.

Myth Boardgame

So I managed to finally get my KS copy of Myth. It was a game that had been out for a while but due to production issues, international backers could only get their shipments when everything; including stretchgoals had finished production. Meanwhile, the base game has been out in stores since Jan this year. Not going to lie, I may be a bit bit-ter about that.

Star Wars Scenarios

Just thought I'd upload these. It's been a while since I ran the Star Wars RPG and to be honest, it didn't last very long. I may simple be too irreverent a personality to be a very effective DM.

Relic Knights: Black Diamond

So...finally Relic Knights arrived. It was kind of a joke back then how long this thing would be delayed for but now, Palladium and Kingdom Death are making this KS look good.

Tuesday, 23 September 2014

Zombicide Season3

Ah zombicide, one of the more enjoyable games I've played within the last year or so. And yet now, as a franchise, it's probably dead to me.

Saturday, 20 September 2014

Dungeons and Dragons 5th Ed

So I finally managed to get a taste of 5th Ed in the form of D&D Encounters. For those who are unfamiliar with it, D&D Encounters are sort of like WoTCs official D&D roleplaying club.

DC Crisis Expansion

So DC deckbuilding came out with another expansion and this time it's a co-op one. No, as in really purely cooperative surprising as it may be.

Friday, 12 September 2014

Skulduggery Pleasant: The Dying of the Light

The final book in the Skulduggery Pleasant series in which quite a few people, lots of plot points are solved and deus ex machina occurs.

Monday, 8 September 2014

Naruto Deck Building Game

Yet another Deck Building game using the Cerebus System by the people at Cryptozoic. Surprisingly, this was pretty well-received among my group of boardgamers and no, most of them aren't Naruto fans.

Iron Mother vs Terminus

Terminus...with 30 banes.... 35 Actually. This batrep is pretty late cause I've been in China for work recently and the net connection here sucks. A lot.

GamerGate

The most recent scandal to hit the Gaming scene, involving corruption, sex and lots of crazy people. Warning, long text inside.

EwF by Everything with Fries

Orchard Central, 181 Orchard Road #01-24/25 s238896 (Somerset)
I'm going to say something that would probably get me sued in France. But please people, there are way better burger joints than this place, even Carls Jr is better! In other words, so not worth eating.
